Local Extraction
Lab Space Solutions
Local extraction units remove hazardous fumes, vapors, and dust directly at the source, protecting laboratory personnel and maintaining clean air. Our systems are designed for maximum safety and energy efficiency, with intelligent airflow control and seamless integration into room air management. Flexible configurations and optional features ensure the right solution for every laboratory application.
Our specialists are ready to help.
Extraction arms support laboratory operations by capturing fumes, vapors, and particles directly at the point of generation, helping to maintain a controlled, safe, and compliant laboratory environment. They are ideally suited for applications where high air quality standards and flexible working positions are required.
Designed for precise positioning and stable handling, our extraction arms are available in different materials and configurations to meet specific laboratory requirements and applications. External joints keep the internal airflow path free from contamination and minimize pressure losses, ensuring efficient airflow, reliable performance, and low maintenance in daily laboratory use.
We offer a wide range of laboratory extraction arms in various designs, materials, and configurations to suit any application. Discover a selection of FUMEX portfolio and contact our experts to explore the full range and find the ideal solution for your lab.
The optimal extraction arm for laboratory environments
FUMEX ME with its unique design of joints and stable attachments has a very low pressure drop, which provides many valuable benefits. The standard design (STD) is suitable for evacuation of most types of airborne pollutants, and the ME also avaliable in PP-, ESD-, and ATEX-versions.
The ME comes in a variety of lengths between 650-2650 mm, with solutions for installation in ceilings as well as on walls and table tops. In addition its available in three different tube dimensions, 50 / 75 / 100 mm with recommended air flows 70 / 120 / 300 m3/h for the different options.
For workplaces in need of the lowest pressure drop on the market
MiniTEX is particularly suitable in environments where the extractor must be included in the same exhaust air system as other products with a low pressure drop, e.g. fume cupboards or when evacuation takes place through an air conditioner.
Telescopic extraction arm for airborne pollutants at high temperatures, among other things, atomic absorption devices.
Fumex MEX AA – a reliable, user-friendly extraction arm, developed to capture airborne pollutants at high temperature, for example from an atomic absorption spectrophotometer.
The extraction arm offers the following pure advantages:
The extraction arm is available with a round hood (MEX AAR) or rectangular hood (MEX AAF) and comes as standard with a horizontally adjustable wall bracket and a 1500 mm flexible hose (up to 250 °C) for direct connection to the ventilation system.
Fully stainless steel extractor arm for demanding work environments and ATEX classified working environments.
FUMEX PSS and PSR - are durable stainless steel extractor arms designed for demanding industrial applications.
PSS is optimized for hygiene‑critical environments such as food and pharmaceutical production, featuring a fully stainless steel, easy‑to‑clean design with low pressure drop.
PSR is designed for ATEX‑classified zones, with polished stainless steel surfaces and quick‑connect hoses for easy cleaning. It is available in two versions: EXC for explosive atmospheres with solvents or corrosive gases, and EXD for dust‑hazardous environments. PSR comes in lengths 2000–4000 mm and diameters Ø100–200 mm.
Fume cabinet for an effective capture of airborne pollutants by enclosure. The design makes the work area easy to understand, and the protective hood is easy to move when work tasks or workplace change. DSK comes in two standard sizes (DSK 400/DSK 700), and can also be adapted to specific needs.
A clean and safe working environment is a key factor for productivity, quality, and employee well-being in industrial applications. Our extraction arms are designed to efficiently capture fumes, dust, gases, and airborne particles directly at the source, reducing exposure and improving workplace safety. With robust construction, modern design, and energy-efficient airflow performance, our solutions support a wide range of industrial processes and environments.
We offer a broad portfolio of extraction arms to meet different requirements – from light-duty applications to heavy industrial use. Flexible designs, high positional stability, and optimized airflow ensure reliable performance across various materials, air volumes, and working conditions.
Like for example the PR Flexible extraction arm available in different configurations, dimensions and materials.
Reliable air filtration is key to a safe and productive working environment. Our filter units efficiently capture dust, fumes, and airborne particles, supporting both laboratory and industrial operations. Designed for stationary, portable, or mobile use, they offer low noise, minimal pressure drop, and easy maintenance for consistent air quality and long-term performance.
Like for example the LFK Portable filter unit for flexible solutions for temporary work.
Vehicle exhaust extraction systems are used in environments where combustion engines are operated, such as testing, calibration, SERVICE or research applications. They ensure that exhaust gases are safely removed to protect personnel and maintain indoor air quality.
The systems are based on flexibility with a broad selection of hoses and mounting configurations to adapt to different environmental layouts and customer requirements. This modular approach supports efficient installation, ease of use, and long-term serviceability.
Like for example the ASE / ASEM Hose reels for workplaces with stationary vehicles.
