The Academy Series ducted fume cupboard
The Academy Education Series School type fume cupboard has been redesigned specifically for the secondary school and college market. It is available in both single and rear loading (double sided) configurations and uses the most modern polymer and material technology in its construction and complies fully with Australian Standards AS 2243.8-2006.
The Academy series fume cupboard comes standard with a high density polymer main chamber, sealed epoxy front panel, fully bunded work surface and toughened glass sash. The materials chosen during the design of the Academy have been selected to provide maximum durability to prolong the life of the cupboard in a teaching environment.
The angled sash is a unique feature of the new Academy, being one of the only Australian made models to have this feature. This allows better viewing, especially for taller users.
The units are supplied with natural gas/LPG, cold water, double power outlet and a 250 x 100 x 150mm Polypropylene sink. The services are mounted on the recessed access panel below the main chamber.
The Academy Safety Control System has the usual pre and post-purge and emergency stop functions for service isolation. The ASCS comes with all the required sensors and alarms under AS2243.8-2006.

* This is the height of the unit above the bench. The overall height on a 900mm bench will be 2300mm, for example.

The new Academy is the perfect fit for the classroom, offering a modern design without putting fashion over function. The Academy is available as an installed unit, or can be supplied as a kit for installation by other trades.
